The programme is intended to produce:
A practitioner conversant with “Outcome Based Education and Contemporary” child centered methodologies.
An academic acumen, analytic practitioner who is able to marry theory with practice within and outside the classroom.
A self-confident and proactive practitioner with the ability to empathize, counsel and relate appropriately with primary school pupils.
A practitioner with up to date skills in identifying learner’s needs, planning to satisfy the needs, facilitating learning, assessing and evaluating.
To be admitted to the programme, a candidate must have A minimum of three O’Level credits including English. A student in current pursuit of studies with another tertiary institution may not be admitted into this programme. effective, result-oriented process consultation, collaborative planning, follow-up and evaluation
The minimum duration for the Advanced Diploma in Education shall be 3 years and the maximum shall be 5 years.The National Certificate in Education shall run for 18 months.
The programme is intended to train teachers through part-time contact sessions on Saturdays from 9 am – 4 pm.
